Gassenhauer were the successor band to the once hip chapel Oithanasie from Gera in eastern Thuringia. Lyrically socially critical, self-deprecating, politically unequivocal and musically endowed with a high recognition value. By the way: On "Presse der Lüge" a part of the songs of the last Oithanasie demo "Chaoten" was processed and newly set to music. The band went to a professional recording studio, where the group Bomber already recorded their songs, and rocked what people and material gave away. The result was an album that even 20 (!) years after its first release doesn't have to hide behind current productions, e.g. from the German rock scene, and whose title "Presse der Lüge" is more topical than ever.
Bass and drums build up a lot of pressure and the guitar work can be more than heard, not to mention the abilities of the singer (one of the few who really deserves this name). All in all, the musical achievement is light years away from many rumble combos, which otherwise romp around in this ideological field. So it's a good thing that the time is finally ripe to free this album from its shadowy existence and bring it back to life with the vinyl release. Thumbs up!
With this Vinylpressing again ten songs with scarcely 31 minutes playing time in digitally remastered version (Vinylmastering) are made accessible for the interested fan or new listener, which want to rediscover this piece of musical history of the time for itself or new. A lively kick into the fatted asses of all politically correct station clappers and identity-forgotten decline accelerators!
Strictly limited to 499 units, hand-numbered, only available in yellow 12 inch vinyl. The graphic design of the LP cover is kept as close as possible to the original. The attributes "retro" and "old school" need to be maintained! ;-) A song from the original release unfortunately had to give way for criminal reasons ("Kreuz um den Hals") and was replaced by another piece of the musicians ("Wurzel des Vergessenens").
Please select:
