Boots & Braces were founded at the beginning of 1983 in Künzelsau and Braunsbach in Swabia. After the first E.P. “Aufrecht gehen”, which was released at Easter 1987, the recording of the first LP “Wahnsinn” followed in December 1987. The debut album was released shortly afterwards, in spring 1988, on Herbert Egoldt's Rock-O-Rama Records label in Cologne.

With a unique mix of punk and Oi!, “Wahnsinn” brought a new dynamic to the band's history, as the second album was released on “Metal Enterprises”, the label of the Böhsen Onkelz at the time. On the Swabian quartet's debut album, unique riffs and fast-paced rhythms come together in a magnificent rendezvous.
