When Freikorps released “Land meiner Väter”, their debut album, on Rock-O-Rama Records in 1992, the band filled a gap left by groups such as Böhse Onkelz and Störkraft. The Schleswig-Holstein combo led by Kai Stüwe quickly gained a loyal fan base. On their debut album, the northerners went on a rant, so much so that the record was confiscated by the district court in Halle less than two years later. The verbal escalations of those years have now been straightened out by digital editing, so that the preservation of cultural heritage has been done justice to!

Hardly any other album from the early 1990s has stirred up as much dust within the German skinhead scene as “Land meiner Väter”. With the re-release in 2025, the work is once again tangible - raw, provocative and historically significant for the understanding of the third generation of German Oi! and skinhead bands.

Musically, “Land meiner Väter” is based on the classic RAC and Oi! sound of those days - straightforward, anthemic and with a raw attitude. The guitar work is hard, rhythm-driven, with melodic parts reminiscent of the early works of Combat 84 or Skrewdriver. In terms of content, the record remains critical of migration and strongly patriotic, without stepping into various youth protection or criminal law pitfalls.

Freikorps was never skinhead mainstream - and never wanted to be. The band was an expression of a subculture that took a radical stance against undesirable social developments. “Land meiner Väter” therefore remains a contemporary document: uncomfortable, loud and a mirror of its time of origin. Critical listening, but not to be ignored!

Strictly limited to 499 units, hand-numbered, digitally remastered (vinyl mastering), only available in red 12 inch vinyl. 14 songs with just over 38 minutes playing time, LEGAL RELEASE!
