The official Snix re-release on the original label - not a bootleg, not a “private edition” and not an “imported fan edition” from dubious scene tuners at brothel prices!
In the 1980s, France produced a number of impressive Oi! bands that were characterized by their energy, authenticity and passion. One of the most outstanding representatives of this genre was undoubtedly the formation originally made up of three brothers - Didier (vocals), Boni (drums) and Manu (bass) - and a childhood friend, Fred (guitar).
Their 1986 album “Quand Le Soleil Se Levera” (When the Sun Rises) is a milestone in French Oi! music. Recorded in Lille, the band's home town, the album combines raw Oi! punk with catchy melodies and committed lyrics. Classics such as “Ces Annes La”, “Europe” and “Clockwork Orange” demonstrate the band's versatility and their ability to captivate the listener.
Unfortunately, the band's success was short-lived - they disbanded after just five years. However, the members did not let their musical ambitions rest and continued their careers in other projects. Drummer Boni, for example, was later to be heard in bands such as Les Gens d'ici, Five in Ten and The Veros.
This reissue of “Quand Le Soleil Se Levera” is a welcome opportunity to rediscover this jewel of French Oi! The 12 original tracks have been carefully remastered without losing the authentic character of the recordings. For fans of the genre and anyone interested in the music scene on the other side of the Rhine, this release is an absolute must.
12 songs with a playing time of almost 41 minutes. Strictly limited to 499 units, hand-numbered, digitally remastered (vinyl mastering), only available on black 12 inch vinyl.
