Available again on the Rock-O-Rama Records label after no less than 35 (!) years! The official Doc Marten re-release, not a bootleg, not a “private edition” and not an “imported fan edition” from dubious scene tuners at brothel prices!
In 1989, “One Land to care for” was released on Herbert Egoldt's Cologne-based Rock-O-Rama Records label. The band came from Point Pleasant, a small East Coast town in the US state of New Jersey and consisted of four people: John (vocals and lead guitar), Paul (drums), Stephano (bass + saxophone) and Brent (rhythm guitar). Unfortunately, the album led an undeserved shadowy existence during its availability at the time. The album was never reissued after the last copy was sold out, not even as a CD version. What was going on?
By the standards of the time, Doc Marten played a catchy, compact yet sophisticated skinhead sound, including saxophone, that was well worth listening to. Some members of Doc Marten were later active in bands such as Aggravated Assault or Max Resist, where they provided an excellent musical output of skinhead-compatible sound. Against this background, an excellent opportunity to revive the old days once again - with this solid product here, which also contains two bonus songs (from the street rocknroll single “Your Time will come”). The LP cover now shines in color (the old slides have been digitized) and the back cover has also been redesigned and adapted to the possibilities of the 21st century.
Strictly limited to 499 units, hand-numbered, digitally remastered, only available in black 12 inch vinyl. 12 songs with just over 36 minutes playing time.
